New Year's
You wake me up , so very early
"It's time sweetie, we're off the beach"
There is no light to be seen
The family piles in the car
Layered in coats, ready to faal asleep
There is no light to be seen
We arrive at the beach
Waves crashing, smelling the fresh beach air
The sun starts to come out
We muster our energy
Laughing , smiling
The sun is halfway in sight
Telling stories to paas the time
Everyone's awake now
The sun is almost out!
We start to countdown
Three, two , one !
Nope..
Once more , louder then the rest
Three, two , one !
The beach bursts with light
The first light of the year
Everyone cheers
Happy New Year !!
Even though it's early
Even though it's cold
Our beautiful tradition will never get old
